They want to ban pornography, then claim that same-sex couples showing affection to each other publicly is pornography.

    And video rental?

Btw this is why they call everything a slippery slope. Because that’s what they want to do.

There will be a lot of similarities, like how with drugs you never know what’s laced with fentanyl. You’ll never know what conditions your illegal porn is made in. After all, it’s already illegal.

You had me in the first half. I’d figure the magazine would fall out, they’d see titties, and immediately…um…discharge their weapons.

And here you are just plugging some dude trying to rub one out full of holes. What is this, the US?

This is a man terrified of how horny it gets him when his wife exerts her will at all. Like he’s definitely into it, but he’s so repressed there’s no way he can even process something like being told to wear a collar and take a flogging, no he’s over here thinking he’s some absolute deviant for fantasizing about his wife politely but firmly telling him to go down on her.

There’s a whole world of pleasure and fantasy out there for those who have the self awareness to try what they want, but he’s gonna be some sick freak trying to control how other people fuck so he doesn’t have to ever acknowledge his milquetoast fantasies. The absolute loser.

It’s really amazing sometimes that so much legal and political policy is driven by men who are ashamed of their boners.

Please correct me if I’m wrong. I just want to make sure I’m understanding this.

He just admitted that his goal is to quietly litigate porn into non-existence by passing age verification laws on one end, then flood the courts with frivolous lawsuits with all sorts of human rights allegations in order to bankrupt what’s left. And from there, use the same strategy to effectively litigate anything else they don’t like out of existence, while also not making it a campaign issue or even all that well known publicly because he knows that these positions are hugely unpopular and would cost elections, because fuck you that’s why?

He does seem to jump on the Trump method of handling things. Either get what you want legitimately or litigate your opponent into bankruptcy until they don’t have the resources to fight any more. But I’m sure he also heard the call to arms from Clarence Thomas saying that the Supreme Court has their back, so he probably figures if his ilk are going to seize power through the courts because they know they can’t win elections, there’s no better time to do it than now.

I swear, I think these chucklefucks honestly think that litigating porn out of existence has even the slightest chance of working at all.

Less reputable sites are typically foreign sites, out of the reach of US government, and can continue to just ignore US law enforcement. And even if the US does start investigating them, these sites can pick up and set up shop somewhere else literally overnight. Project 2025’s ideas would have zero effect on them.

And regarding the larger sites like Pornhub? Do they think they’re just gonna say “Aw, shucks. We cant show people titties any more.” Fucking lol. They’ll just set up shop overseas, block all US IP addresses, and just conveniently have advertisements for various VPNs on their home page.

Pornhub and the like will continue distributing all the porn. They will continue to make all the money distributing all the porn. Heck, they’ll probably make even more all the money hosting advertisements for and partnering with VPN services. And people will continue to watch all the porn. Even if Project 2025 got their way, the great Overseas Porn Migration of 2025 will be merely a moment in time of porn’s history. In fact, there will be porn of it.

Yep, they should look at Tumblr as an example. When they banned porn in 2018, they lost a third of their users, the automatic censorship tools were flagging all sorts of non-porn stuff and they reversed the ban four years later.

I don’t think that will work.

Some of this felt like they think they can get away with it, but now I’m starting to notice that they didn’t exactly account for reality anywhere.
