That always stuck in my craw a bit. That said, Disco is more concerned with the technology angle than “oh hey, we’re all from the same place aren’t we” part of it.
No, well, yes but not as the main thing (becuz Star Trek), but they do find inspiration for the S5 arc in old TNG stuff.
