Hi folks, I recently made a post about seeing tons of old posts since updating from 0.19.1 to 0.19.2. Now I‘m on 0.19.3 and the app I use (voyager) is showing me 3 months old posts.
It takes out seen posts so its somewhat to be expected if old posts get federated but the amount is much too high to be normal (like 100s of posts, 3 months old).
I suppose its partly intended behavior since the app doesnt seem to know the posts. Then again, I have seen some of these posts already.
The only solution seems to be to go through all these old posts until they hopefully run out but that doesnt really make sense.
But it also tells me that since updating to 0.19.3, (like 1-2 weeks ago) lemmy is still federating old content that was missing. Why does this take so long?

Change the sort options. I use scaled, new and top 12h most of the times. You can also change your default sort in your profile settings
In voyager you can also change the default sort, as it is defaults to active, and active will give you old content too.
