That’s really cool.
Love me some old games.

That’s really cool.
Story dlc should be dlc. Not something only obtainable through a deluxe edition coming in at 2x the price of the base game. Announced before it even fucking launched
Well it’s ubisoft. What did you expect?
I hate EA as much as the next guy, but I’ve got to hand it to them; at least the Jedi: Fallen order and Survivor games had nothing really locked behind an extra paywall except for cosmetics that didn’t change gameplay. Which is the bare fucking minimum I expect for single player games.
Never heard of that. Audio cd’s have been around for a while by then. And cd players weren’t expensive. But I could be wrong. I was not really in to consoles at that point.
There was also the playstation 2 releasing about 6 months after the dreamcast, with dvd capabilities, when dvd players were expensive as fuck. People were using them as a DVD player. Basically the same reason the playstation 3 sold decently at all in it’s first years.
Fuck. I hate that this is retro now. Id tech 4 still feels so new to me.
I loved hell in this game. So visually striking.
I mostly played street fighter 2 and 4. I usually wait until I can buy the whole game before biting the bullet, since street fighter usually goes through an ultra super turbo edition phase. Recently bought 5 but haven’t really played it yet.
This is (box) art from the game
The community I miss most from reddit. Nice! Thank you.
Well that would do it. Thanks for pointing out!
It thankfully seems to have been fixed thanks to @graycube@lemmy.world. Running analyze verbose;
in postgres.
The pgautoupgrade was added for the new version because this deployment is an all-in-one solution for running lemmy. And upgrading the databases turned out to be quite the effort until some user pointed the maintainer towards pgautoupgrade here.
I tried running lemmy before I found out about this, but this just makes it so much more convenient to run.
Thanks. I ran it. Hopefully it’ll make a difference.
Edit: It looks like this did the trick. I’ll keep monitoring to see if it sticks. Thanks again!
I think so. I have lemmy and everything needed running through a single docker container using Lemmy-Easy-Deploy.
I added pg_stat_statements, and ran it. This was the result:
# SELECT count(*) FROM pg_stat_activity;
count
-------
11
(1 row)
ERROR: extension "pg_stats_statements" is not available
Even though it’s added in the customPostgresql.conf
shared_preload_libraries = 'auto_explain,pg_stat_statements'

I have. And I tried to tweak it with no avail. But it was working within acceptable levels before the update.

I have. It’s running postgres v16.3
Honestly it is. The remaster is beautiful. But the games are very much tank controls at heart. So even though it might feel counter intuitive to use the old tank controls; it definitely is the best way to play these games.
I’ve tried the modern controls, and it becomes apparent really fast that these games were not made for it. It’s clunky and unwieldy at best, and completely illogical and unresponsive at worst.
The tank controls take some getting used to, but if you play Lara’s home you can get used to them in peace.
