I think this is much sadder than just the parents thinking like this. Kids should get to be kids and start their lives unencumbered by their parents’ hatred and bitterness.

Ah, gotcha. The podcast doesn’t make it sound so drastic, but it goes in a similar direction.
That’s not what I’ve heard. The movie’s creator recently gave an interview on the The New Yorker Radio Hour, where he cited as one of the difficulties the film faced with financial backers and distributors that it included a scene of Trump raping Ivana Trump (a claim she later recanted under pressure from Trump’s lawyers).
Great idea, surviving “da Bomb” could improve her street cred considerably.
