Part of me agrees and wishes our politics could be more elevated than this, but American democracy is at the point where we’re banking on a Taylor Swift endorsement to save us from literal fascists from taking over. That’s where we’re at.
That he’s so easily influenced by the people around him is just one more reason he’s a shitty person to be President. He’s very likely functionally illiterate, so his entire worldview comes solely from the videos he watches and the people he talks to. He only surrounds himself with ‘yes’ people who are likely only there because they flatter his ego and don’t challenge him on anything. And the kind of people willing to flatter Trump are likely either batshit insane themselves or hold even more contemptible views than he does.
He’s an intellectual void that gets filled with the shitty ideas of those around him. There’s always this very direct line where you can trace some of the things he says right to a specific person or a segment on tv. There’s no processing or reflection or contemplation or anything, just garbage in, garbage out.
I’m sure he doesn’t even care that people are mocking him about it, the fact that everybody is talking about “concepts of a plan” and “they’re eating the cats” is still a victory in his mind. Good attention or bad attention doesn’t matter, attention for the sake of attention is the only thing he cares about. Nobody is really talking about anything specific Harris said or did, she didn’t really have any really breakout moments that I can recall after having watched it, it was just Trump being a jackass and saying dumb shit.
Not sure if I’m not getting some cool kid joke now or what. He’s there near the center-right upper portion, but it looks photoshopped or something and off somehow, but I can’t zoom in enough to tell what’s going on.

I’m sure MAGAts are having to do mental jumping jacks from approving of a fake endorsement for Trump to now saying that her endorsement for Harris doesn’t really matter and that she’s a nobody. The whole thing is dumb either way, but if a pop star’s endorsement is what it takes to hold off the fascists for at least 4 more years, then so be it.

Steam Families is actually awesome, they re-did how the sharing feature works for families and it works great. I’ve been using it for months with my Dad and my son’s accounts and it’s great. Works good on the Steam Deck too. I’ve actually been waiting for it to come out of beta so I can get Decky Loader back on my Steam Deck.

The only things I don’t like about pooping at work is when there’s no private restrooms or when they don’t have some sort of white noise in the bathrooms (in the case of public restrooms). Inevitably, there’s people who don’t care about shitting in the stall next to mine, which I absolutely hate, I don’t want to hear you shit. I only want to shit when nobody else is around or when the sound of a fan or something blocks out the noise. It’s like some sort of instinctual feeling. Otherwise, pooping at work is great.
Although we currently have an all-volunteer military, I don’t know that I could say that conscription would never be necessary. Certainly exceedingly unlikely, but not impossible. I understand the potential need for it as a backup plan, it just seems antiquated that we’re still only considering men as potential soldiers.

Can we do something about making the Selective Service more equitable? Why is it that Men are the only ones that have to register for the draft? We have plenty of women serving in the armed forces, make everyone have to register.
He can’t pardon them, but he can probably just ignore whatever punishment is given and he’ll say he has presidential immunity (regardless of whether it fits, that’s the idea he’ll have). Then, if he becomes a sitting president, nobody will actually do anything to enforce the judgement against him and it’ll just be ignored, making presidential immunity to even state crimes a practical reality, even if it’s not a legal reality.
We’re going to have to get used to regions of the world becoming permanently uninhabitable.
And I’m sure whoever put it there faced way more harsher penalties than a certain someone who willfully hid highly classified documents in his bathroom for months and lied about it to investigators.

Trump needs to get over being shot at, that’s the America that him and the GOP have created. If he doesn’t like it… maybe consider some sort of way to control access to guns so that unhinged individuals can’t get them… something like… I don’t know, gun control?
