Depending on the size of the screen and the sitting distance, sometimes 1080p is more than enough.
Nothing to deserve that comment that I’m aware of
"In areas administered by the National Park Service, an individual can possess a firearm if that individual is not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing the firearm and if the possession of the firearm complies with the laws of the state where the park area is located. 54 U.S.C. 104906. "
Oh dang really? Thanks for the correction I need to update my knowledge here.
While I agree that the surrounding area would be well armed, I believe firearms in the park itself are actually banned for civilians. (Wrong, see below) This is a rare case of a police force stopping an active shooter quickly.
I guarantee you that the Wyoming Game and Fish department is doing everything it can in its power to throw the book at this guy and that they are disgusted by him. They’re likely being very careful not to make mistakes and hand out information they’re not legally allowed to.
IIRC didn’t it start out as XBMC, a media center you put onto the original Xbox?
I’m also interested in this project. Looks like there has been some recent activity: https://www.opensourceecology.org/2024-product-release-of-seed-eco-home-4/
You should contact them about getting involved! I did see they had jobs a while back for a project.
I believe they prefer Libera pay over the other options last I had checked
You can buy music without DRM on Bandcamp, and on Bandcamp Friday a larger share goes directly to the creator. It’s a great way to support your favorite artists.
As someone who is a current user and unaware of superior options but is curious, what would you recommend?
I tried out this OS last year and really loved it, until I went on a road trip and couldn’t use Android Auto. This is huge and will make GrapheneOS an extremely attractive option to privacy minded people.
Can’t infect wolves? I’m no expert here but I don’t feel like a vertebrate mammal with a brain could be completely immune to prions. Do you have any more information on that claim?
I believe it’s made the jump into a certain species of monkey in a lab environment last I knew, but the jump to humans hasn’t been seen and isn’t a given. This is a clickbait title. If you’re hunting game, make sure to get it tested with samples taken at a wildlife check station before consuming and you’re likely safe here.
10 wolves today, but in the future it’ll be hundreds or thousands potentially (which I’m fine with) but it’s shortsighted to think it’s only ten
Interesting. Maybe the reason so many ranchers complain to the Wyoming Game and Fish is so they can get damage payouts. Perhaps they’re over exaggerating the issue.
Probably not because those won’t affect their bottom line as much. Wolves harass cattle herds and run the weight off of them, requiring more workers to protect the herd and also reducing sale price. With wolves reintroduced, the price of beef will increase.
That being said, we definitely still should reintroduce them, they have so many positive effects on the environment. Even if not reintroduced, it won’t be long before the wolves in Wyoming start making their way down anyway.
Deeper in the article it talks about this, it’s a lot. It’s really the most strategic way to vote in a state absolutely dominated by one party.
