Here in Iceland, where this is located, we produce more green energy than we consume and can’t store that energy, and the carbon is pumped straight into the basalt below which absorbs it. I think doing it here is a decent way to do research on improving the technology.

That is a good point. Hopefully governments around the world will help people transition at eventually. However, for now, it should point corporations and governments in the right direction. If people, that can spare that initial investment, stop their demand for animal exploitation.

Specifically free (libre) licences, as permissive licences allow corporations to improve/adapt the software without contributing back to the community.

I only work on software with GPL compatible licences now.
