Oh wow this meme being used for a good thing. Maybe the darkest timeline is brightening.

Sometimes I wonder when the revolution will happen.
Buy two get third free?? That’s a good deal!!!
YIMBY
People at my office have been fist bumping. I noticed someone in a senior leadership position would do it and his trick was he already has his fist out 5ft out and is doing it so confidently you’ve got time to see it, process, and prepare for contact.
But the money meanwhile must be astronomical!
1,000 actually seems low. I wonder if it’s an awareness thing? Either of the role of fossil fuel companies or that a movement like this exists and people can play a role in advocacy.
Ehh this one I’m not a big fan of. Do a more general like “under $35k no tax” but no tax on tips leaves out minimum and low wage workers who just so happen to not make tip income.
Am I missing something here?
From Toronto! Awesome. Represent, Phil. Also what’s with all the fuddy duddies in the comments?
Horrifying. The worst part of humanity in one story. Including the system we prop up that doesn’t protect and help them. Truly awful stuff.
They’re doing some exciting work. Part of what I didn’t understand from the article is quart the funding and membership structure is like. Otherwise, keep doing what you’re doing:
In the last year, the Louisville Tenants Union passed far-reaching restrictions on public funding contributing to gentrification in Louisville; KC Tenants defeated a billionaire-backed stadium tax in Kansas City; Bozeman Tenants United banned new short-term rentals and elected one of their own as mayor in the Montana tourism hot spot; the Connecticut Tenants Union negotiated a collective bargaining agreement with one of New Haven’s largest landlords and Chicago’s Not Me We won ballot referenda backing a landmark antidisplacement ordinance covering the area surrounding the new Obama Presidential Center.
The focus is on how climate is impacting people who were more nomadic and relied on yak herding. It’s a good article, but I felt the headline could have been improved.
But moving down from the mountains has also meant that for Lhamo, and other Brokpa women, they’ve also moved down the social hierarchy, simply by virtue of being women. As the world continues to warm, making yak herding untenable, Tashi Lhamo’s life is a cautionary tale of what awaits women in the dwindling herding communities.
There’s probably weight classes, and you have to qualify, meet the requirements, then compete within your class.
I had read the beginning of the headline and then started reading description. I’m so embarrassed to say I first thought this was just someone really enthused about the sun and astronomy. I got to the part where he said he makes money and I thought… how’s a hobby astrologist making money especially when they’re mostly just interested in the sun. And then I saw grid and it clicked.
Kind of works both ways doesn’t it
They’re the first three Black gymnasts to share the top three spots in an Olympics — a feat that also occurred at last year’s world championships, when Biles and Andrade shared the podium with Shilese Jones in the individual all-around.
Neat! Love it.
Depressing. I’m depressed. Is anything going to happen about it. Or will we spend another decade talking about more undisclosed briberies.
I’m young millennial but as long as crinj means cringe… I’m only not sure about rizz, skibidi, or ohio.
