Honestly I’m considering just using Windows server 2022. I’ve got it running on my dedi and it’s great. I don’t see any reason not to just install it on my pc too.

That sounds like grounds for some kind of legal action. Antitrust? Class action? I don’t know the specifics of the best strategy for approaching it, but if Nintendo is showing a pattern of using their legal team to harass legally operating emulator developers that sounds like something that should be actionable.

There’s a huge middle ground between constant reposts about the same topic and hostility to new users. Megathreads have often been the solution to that particular problem. I don’t know if Lemmy has a merge functionality, though. It seems like the mod tools are kind of limited.
