I thought your first post was slightly aggressive but this post goes too far. We should be preaching the ethics of free software first; while always remembering everyday ethics so we don’t end up as hypocrites.
From what I’m hearing, Microsoft wants to ban anti-cheat and plenty of other kernel-space software. They are possible security issues (along with all of Windows).

Being able to set your own hours is something most people dream of. Many conventional jobs have a busy season where 50+ hours is mandatory. I’m glad your friend is able to get a good balance going.
Lots of people didn’t want to do their jobs. Sometimes I feel our whole government is just a giant grift.

I remember getting a device that came with Vista. I reinstalled Vista on it and it still sucked. I then installed a pirated version of Windows 7 on it; the performance difference was night and day. It’s not @TheEighthDoctor@lemmy.world’s fault that Microsoft is certifying incompatible hardware.

Personally, I think Biden’s take on Palestine is insane. It’s like he as a personal stake on the continuation of making Palestinians miserable . Why do people still defend on when it comes to this? The best thing for these Democrats to do is what Harris is already doing; not talking about it since her plans on this issue WILL NOT help her campaign.
I cannot imagine it be a worthwhile investment. The only people I know who do Uber are retired and do it out of boredom. Fortunately, I don’t know a single soul who does it for a job (without having another job to do as well).

It’s insane the amount of trans hate I have been hearing this past month alone (in real life). I have to explain: Sure, they weren’t always front and center as today’s political issues make them seem but they still existed. Their existence is not a recent development in any way. Tiktok isn’t turning your kids into anything.
It’s not just people who identify as Republicans or religious people either. I can see why the anti-queer vote is important to both parties; their numbers are staggering.

I shudder at the thought of driving for work. It’s already so hard to keep up spatial awareness of the crazy drivers for an hour or less. I cannot imagine 8 hours of that.

There’s nothing Israel is doing that Biden wants them to stop. So, this is hard to judge.

The opposite. Obama wanted Israel to slow down attacks on Palestinians. Biden talked Obama into to applying less pressure (and Obama was not asking for much to begin with).

American politics are unanimous on this issue. Biden complained Obama was being too hard on Neyanyahu. All Obama wanted is for Israel to stop bombing the innocent people in Gaza (and he asked Israel to halt building settlements for 3 months). Biden said that Obama was asking for too much and could risk Israel stop listening to the US. We reached this moment BECAUSE of Biden.
Trump sees how Washington is congratulating Biden while it’s the liberal college students condemning him. That’s a win-win situation in the mind of Republicans. In Trump’s mind, bombing Palestine is good because Biden is getting away with it. Trump is saying he can do it better but isn’t that what Trump says with everything. Is Trump new to you? Biden set this up.
Hopefully, they would start a rival company. That would be fascinating to see.

The other user did namecall first but I think we of the Linux community have to remember we used free software out of ethics. Things seem more rosy and user-friendly comparatively now but you have to remember the people who have the same ethics will “stick it out” regardless of the end user experience.
