Everyone left after EOC and now those that returned play OSRS.
When I started playing OSRS last June I checked the player count that evening, 10k players in RS3 and 90k in OSRS.
The game has turned into one giant “limited time” event mill, and many of the new places are missing things like cute examine texts that gave it soul.
Did you read the article?
“Russia launched 127 missiles and 109 attack drones”
and later it says:
“Previously, an attack last December when 158 missiles and drones were fired at Ukraine, had been considered the largest attack so far.”
It’s been a while since I was in school but I think 236 drones and missiles is more than 158?
It definitely is, but these recent years have seen more and more unfinished games pushed to the finish line with game breaking bugs and missing content, all while charging AAA prices.
Capitalism is what it is, a metric for “success” cannot just mean you are profitable, you must be more profitable each year. Thus the enshitification of everything continues.
It is becoming difficult to “pay more for quality” as the quality of every publicly traded brand is the first thing that suffers when they are pushed to make more profits each year.
Good! Delay it til 2030! I am tired of unfinished games being released leaving angry gamers to abuse the devs who put their heart and soul into it. The only ones who win are the studios.
They have not left, and are indeed building a house there and posting endless pro Russia videos.
Nevermind the initial articles and the poor wife’s tearful video that was deleted after they were “requested” to do so. Which of course they then denied and said of course they edited it themselves.

I missed the discussion on voting the other day it seems, but for what it’s worth, I like the voting system. In real life discussions happen in open air, and don’t hang there in posterity for people to stumble upon after. When we come to a consensus in conversation it is then left at that and we move on.
When online, these discussions stay as they are, and I think voting gives a way of people to come to a consensus, to leave a mark upon the conversation such that the people who come behind understand how everyone felt about it.
This is helpful I think, because it does not hide the down votes on nasty comments or ideas that hurt others.
One of the most interesting and horrible things about the internet is that every village has a “crazy Bob” but because they were the minority the good of the people outnumbered their outlandish or hateful ideas.
Now they can and do find each other online, forming a vocal and damaging minority. Without the majority able to show their dislike, human nature means more will fall in line with them and their ideals.
Yes, I want to see a tactical whip!
Which Lenovo laptop, if you don’t mind me asking? I know there are Lenovo laptops with Linux support, but I am on a Lenovo Legion Slim 5, and I have heard there are quite a few issues that would need to be sorted.
Signaling in the railway is how they know what trains are where and when. There are a few different types of signaling system, but destroying any part of it will bring everything to a halt until the problem is fixed.
If a signaling system were to be destroyed or disabled no one would need to physically stay there blocking trains only to be arrested.
Good on them. For anyone considering the same: destroy the signaling systems.
What the fuck is this timeline?
This is really sad all around. Sex isn’t supposed to happen in prison, but it happens in men’s and women’s facilities. The fact that this person was only vilified and transferred to a men’s facility after someone at the DOC leaked the investigation documents and an article was run dead naming her and implying she was a predator is so wrong.
I know, just today on my lemmy home page was a w10 user who had their desktop background image changed and the stupid search bar added to their task bar again after an update. This is why I don’t allow my machine to update. It’s rediculous!
Linux will be so much better, but it will require some effort and time, and probably some help. I will have to get there, and once I do I know it will be a relief to have an OS that only does what I tell it to!
Thank you for the kind wishes stranger. I wish you health and happiness as well. I am sure you will see me again after I have made the leap, with some silly question or another. :)
I am the user above, and the writing is on the wall - I am aware that I will need to switch to Linux when I can no longer make w10 work for me, or when it is no longer supported by the games and programs I use.
The reasons why I don’t switch now are more complicated. I use a Lenovo Legion Slim 5 as my daily driver, as I was in an accident and can no longer sit at my desk with the pc I built. This laptop is on a rolling desk over my bed.
Anyway, while some Lenovo laptops support Linux, this one does not, and my reading tells me that I may have difficulty with certain things. I may have trouble with drivers for the graphics card, I may have trouble with adjusting the monitor brightness or the second monitor, I may have trouble with sound. or even the keyboard.
There are github pages devoted to helping with utilities to fix many of these problems, but they definitely require troubleshooting, thinking, and planning.
I have also had a friend who recently switched to Linux, who tried to stream a game for me. Before he switched his streams were flawless, this time we spent a while figuring out how to get his game audio, then the stream quality was abysmal, freezing, and in the wrong resolution, so he played while I googled solutions he could try on the fly.
Streaming games through discord on Linux is apparently a whole thing. That more than anything keeps me on win10, because I cannot play most of the games I used to play, they require too much movement, so my husband or friends will stream for me.
I am hoping things become easier as more users join Linux before me.
This is all a long winded explanation that I am sure you didn’t ask for, but I just wanted to let you know that sometimes even people with a somewhat good grasp of tech have reasons keeping them from switching.
No fucking thank you, I have long since completely neutered my pc’s ability to update. I updated enough to install drivers and get it stable, and that’s it. I don’t trust windows.
This is less a problem with legalizing marijuana, and more a problem with a pharmaceutical medicine not having proven origins and certifications. If a pharmacy sold other medications without proof of origin and certification they would be shut down.
Clickbait article with images from 10 years ago, scanners now show generic body shaped images with the area to search highlighted.
Lol. My first instinct was to downvote you, but I have to admit this was funny and plays on the long held belief that a waffle house at night is in a different dimension.
