Philly got some “means well” but mostly we have “having a good damn time” and “doesn’t give a fuck”. We’re not malicious, but we’re not sympathetic either.

I refuse to go backward too, but they overuled Roe, which my aunties told me would NEVER happen. So just not going back isn’t enough. We have to move forward.
Anyone still sprouting this line hasn’t listened to a single thing actual progressives and defenders of Palestine have said in recent weeks.
Harris’s position is bad but voting for anyone else is so much worse right now. Bernie Sanders is correct, as usual.
If you read the law as written and voted on in Louisiana, it lists 11 Commandments, because there isn’t one list of Commandments that these people can agree on. But they can agree that everyone should be forced to look at them in school?
Nice for you to live somewhere mild enough your car doesn’t need to pre-heat but some people live in Chicago and other places where it still snows and pre-heating the car is a must 3 months of the year.
I take it you’ve never been involved in such an endeavor? What you propose would take a decade a minimum due to the sheer number of nested advisory committees that would be required for those groups to interface. Better a non-profit group begins the work and then solicits these group’s input at the design stage.
Drupal…damn it’s been years since someone mentioned Drupal. I remember it being the next big thing…
Your forgot that plastic manufacturing knew it wasn’t recycled or recyclable.
No, law enforcement told schools that what happened on their property was their problem and that local law enforcement didn’t have time to deal with their problems. It should be very clear that cops retreated from our campuses, schools didn’t shut them out. Colleges and Universities would love for local law enforcement to come patrol the campus and handle assaults and all the rest but literally the cops told us it was too much trouble.
Many modern cars only check for the fob on startup, so you can drive away without the fob but as soon as you turn the car off, you are stuck.
I found this out the hard way by dropping my partner and his keys off at a Dr office and then driving away.
IDK why it doesn’t check for fob before engaging Drive, as would seem sensible.
You mean to tell me that it’s too much trouble for them to keep track of their own leadership and bishops to remember which have been accused of misbehavior and sexual abuse, but they totally have the time and capacity to keep track of which church members had a sex change and then group them with the empty file of sex abusers to was too troublesome to keep?
The cops would prosecute the crime they gave the external evidence for. In this case the shooting of the victim, because that came to their attention as a crime. Since they wouldn’t have interacted with the victim except that he got shot, the fact he had a gun on him can’t be used as evidence against him. Just like if they search your car for guns, they can’t seize your bank statements from the glovebox and use them as evidence for financial crimes.
How about disallowing evidence gathered about the victim of the crime from being used to prosecute them? Like we disallow evidence gathered without a proper warrant, theoretically.
Search and Rescue dogs are generally owned and trained by specialized dog trainers, not the cops. The scent-tracking skills for following people are differently trained from drug and explosives detecting dogs Basically a search dog needs to walk towards and follow what they smell, and a detecting dog needs to sit down when they catch a smell so they have different training methods.
Source; Hung out with Search and Rescue dog trainers and listened to them carefully not directly talk shit about the police dogs.
I saw that roll-up piano she’s playing in this episide when I was a kid and I was in love with it. I don’t even play piano but the idea of flexible, roll-up electronics stuck with me over the decades.
The American attitude that children are a lifelong punishment for having sex, and no one should ever expend any effort or a cent of money on a child they didn’t personally fuck into existence?
Their “baby boom” that defined the American generation called “boomers” was different in Australia and didn’t peak until much later, in the late 1960s I believe.
This is Australia, not the US. I don’t think they have “boomers”
Logitech’s desire to put AI in my IO devices is exactly why I am moving to a different manufacturer. I want solid hardware, not hardware as a service. HP also is trying this with printers and it’s total bullshit.
If I am paying a monthly fee, I’d better not also have to buy garbage hardware. That better be provided for free and replaced when it inevitably fails.
Rabies vaccine is only made for a handful of animals. For example a vaccine is made for domestic sheep but not for domestic goats. Goats and sheep are closely enough related that goats owners have their animals vaccinated using the sheep vaccinations but since they have not been officially tested, you can’t say the animals have been vaccinated for rabies in a legal capacity so the petting zoo has a big sign about the rabies risk in goats.
I think this is mostly a case on NY state’s sick of people ignoring their wild animal laws and with NYC especially they can’t allow for people to just keep whatever animal they want and think it’s okay. If Peanuts owner had been licensed as an actual wildlife rehab, it would have been different but wildlife are not pets even when they are friendly.
