  • Lol. I hate how much this is like 1984 because I dislike people using it as an example all of the time. But between this and the “America First” shit, wherein tariffs are being levied against everyone, the logical conclusion is that Trump wants to close down the US, go self-reliant, and have citizens be too placated by propaganda to do anything about it.

However, this is a shitty idea and it won’t go to plan, so he’ll just end up with stupid people who can’t even work the factories needed to not have this culminate in a mass economic disaster. Anyone smart enough to care should leave the country ASAP because it won’t get better. Other countries should be revamping their refugee programs to benefit from the brain drain.

  • So SEGA and Konami (the corporation) knew about it. Let’s assume that. Are there records or interviews (from studios, individual developers, games historians, etc.) from that time on record saying they played and enjoyed it?

Simultaneous/independent invention in a highly experimental and novel industry is way more likely to me, but if you can produce some sort of proof of influence on studios that explicitly iterated on what 005 did, then that’s much more convincing than a Guinness World Record that only “proves” they were first (historically, they did barely any fact-checking and, in some cases, you could bribe them).

It also hurts the credibility of the article for it to say “people liked it,” and then not link to any sources like reviews or sales numbers. How can I know that anyone liked it unless I do independent verification of these claims? It’s striving to be informative but with a “trust me bro” type of approach.

  • Can you say why Iranians dislike Arabs or why they support USA/Israel, and why Khamenei supports Palestine and not USA/Israel? I’m trying to understand why this difference exists. I really am not educated at all on this part of the world (that’s my ignorance, but I am curious about your experiences).

Is it really as simple as racism or are there socioeconomic concerns? For example, many people in my country (Canada) hate immigrants because it’s difficult to find a good-paying job or an affordable apartment due to suppressed wages, lack of domestic manufacturing, and a very bad housing crisis. It’s easier to just blame immigrants for coming here than to convince the government to help us more directly.
