My cat is a fetch cat. He loves to fetch.

Every time he does a pounce on one of his toys and rabbit kicks it, or stalks it across the living room, I praise him for all his murder skills. I also will tell him that’s why he’s not allowed outside, he’s simply too fierce and terrifying and all the animals would die.

He seems to enjoy the praise because if I don’t say anything he’ll keep playing, but when I praise him he runs back to me with his toy and a jaunty little prance for scratches.

The guy giving the presentation used the example of a pill that cures Hep C. They charge you $84,000 for the pills that will cure Hep C, but since there are cheaper meds that manage Hep C, insurance will cover only those.

By the way, making those cure pills with this system costs about $70. For the entire course of the medication.

The problem you’re talking about (see a professional to get a proper diagnosis and treatment!) is perfectly valid and wise. But if I try a migraine medication, and it works, but after the trial I have to pay hundreds of dollars a pill?

Oh, also I have an exceedingly rare hereditary disease, so it feels like a certainty I’ll need it for myself someday.

I believe every American knows someone whose life is made substantially worse because of a lack of access to healthcare.

I want to set this up and learn to use it. I want to keep it and maintain it and wait. Because I’ll inevitably hear from someone that they can’t afford their life-saving medication.

Also I want to add even if you believe that those soldiers were victims of propaganda, they believed they were serving the country. They believed they were serving their fellow man. That counts in my book.

I’m going to add that even though they absolutely freak me the fuck out, since the house centipedes have been visiting, literally no other bugs exist in my home, even spiders.

The scuttling is a nightmare but considering the good they’ve done we have an arrangement now.
