I watched it on Tubi… currently ad-free with uBlock Origin adblocker (on Firefox, at least…)
Hi, I’m also Terencio on mastodon.social and Sergio on slrpnk.net. I mostly use this account when there are issues on slrpnk.net.

Sorry to hear that, fam. I hope it got better eventually.
So there must have been one day on which the Tethys Ocean was suddenly no more, right? I looked at the wikipedia page and it wasn’t clear.
Sounds like you were summoned by ouija board.
Yeah… reminds me of a very valuable lesson I learned during my college years.
Most people hate school. Even the “smart kids”, what they really like is learning or knowledge, not school.
Homer listening to “Home” while watching “Home Alone” with the homies and a homing pigeon.
The cat knew he was in trouble and was like: OK, this ONE TIME I will come running to you.
Oh, it’s a Japanese cartoon. They use metric hours instead of Imperial hours. So you’ll just have to keep waiting.

“You don’t think it’s weird when YOU do it!”
If I had to take a guess, I’d say it might be bc that movie is region-locked. That movie seems to be currently available in the US. So on the back-end they probably have one service that delivers the home page but doesn’t check for regional availability (poor design!), and only when the movie-specific page is accessed do they check for regional availability. But that’s just a hypothesis.
Everybody in Uganda knows kung fu! /meme
“Content unavailable” when you click on it (then why the hell are you pushing it at me???)
Whenever I see that message I think it’s bc I keep DRM turned off on Firefox, I don’t know much about it tho.

Sergio@lemmy.worldto B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•Return of the Killer Tomatoes! (1988)English5·1 month agoThey didn’t teach me that in school. I had to learn it from “Return of the Killer Tomatos”.
the Youtube version is indeed cut and surprisingly the Tubi one isn’t.
Tubi is pretty good about not cutting movies. The only thing I’ve seen it missing is part(s?) of Bad Lieutenant.
ofc I have no illusions, tubi is only tolerable bc uBlock Origin still works to block ads, evetually tubi will enshittify and block adblockers. Also it’s only available in some countries (us, canada? england? australia? nz?)
sounds like an interesting movie, I’ma watch it next chance I get!

Sergio@lemmy.worldto B Movie Bonanza@lemmy.world•The Butterfly Revolution (aka Summer Camp Nightmare) (1987)English3·1 month agoPenelope Spheeris, who would later go on to direct Wayne’s World.
She also did all three of the “Decline of Western Civilization” movies which are documentaries about punk rock and metal subcultures.
Just finished watching it. Not bad, TV-movie-quality but a straightforward script.
Besides Richard “Shaft” Roundtree and Sam “needs no introduction” Raimi, the actual ex-boxer who “Raging Bull” was based on, Jake LaMotta, plays a Detective.
