How do you know he will be victimized? You don’t seem to feel that way. Would it have been different for you if others knew or something? I’m not disagreeing, just curious.

Wait until they hear about AIPAC.
Ahh. The Sun Tsu approach to war.
AI by white techbros is okay. Chinese competition is bad. That’s the real story. All the rich people are terrified of Chinese competition in the US, and now Germany has a bunch of Nazi bootlickers too.
If this works in Europe, then Europeans are not smarter than Americans. The whole “why don’t Americans do something” rhetoric goes right out the window.
Why would every American buy one if they can’t afford insurance + medical bills to pay for health care? “Oh look, I’m having a heart attack. Good to know. Guess I’ll just keep working.”
Laws don’t work any longer. Only for poor folks.
Laced with fentanyl.
He’s basically gutting NASA so it can be reduced to a taxpayer-funded corporate subsidy for greedy billionaires and giant corps. They’re killing everyone’s dreams and inspiration.
This is the real reason for tarrifs. Forcing citizens into paying ridiculous prices so biliionares can circle jerk about how much more power they can get. They’re scourges and bottomless voids of resources and misery.
The crazy thing is that nothing will change unless someone takes control to stop the corporate-controlled stalemate that runs our society. The far right is awful, and the fact that they are the only ones capable of getting it done is probably the most terrifying notion this country has experienced in my lifetime. It’s just going to be splitting all the wealth with another group of nerdy billionaire assholes and making a worse gov. I just want to wake up and realize it’s a nightmare.
If that’s the case, then humanity is doomed.
Billions of dollars, and they can’t afford to buy ebooks?
If this happens, can we please all make a protest or petition with the FCC?
They need a tech ethics board, and people need a license to operate or work in decision-making capacities. Also, anyone above the person’s head making an unethical decision loses their license, too. License should be cheap to prevent monopoly, but you have to have one to handle data. Don’t have a license. Don’t have a company. Plant shitty surveillance without separate, noticeable, succinctly presented agreements that are clear and understandable, with warnings about currently misunderstood uses, then you lose license. First offense.
Edit: Also mandatory audits with preformulated and separate, and succint notifications are applied. “This company sells your info to the government and police forces. Any private information, even sexual in nature, can be used against you. Your information will be used by several companies to build your complete psychological profile to sell you things you wouldn’t normally purchase and predict crimes you might commit.”
I’ve been trying to tell people for 15 years. It hasn’t worked a single bit. It’s frustrating that people think they have nothing to hide when their carelessness and lack of tech knowledge is ruining the future of the next generations. I just can’t try to explain it to everyone. They don’t link the relation at all. I thought maybe eventually, they would just get it, but here we still are…
I feel like the last on the list is on everything these days. 400 pages of ToS.
The trick is figuring out what parties do that without constantly sniffing traffic or reading source code. Sometimes I wonder what all on F Droid has malware.
He is not a leader. A guy who lets empliyees die in tornadoes because he just can’t let them off work is not a leader. A guy who polices employees so aggressively that they have to pee in bottles is not a leader. A guy who funds the celebration of a technoauthoritarian state is not a leader. A guy who violates antitrust laws to stamp out small businesses is not a leader. He’s a scourge and should be shunned. He’s extremely bad for society and probably our whole species.
This is another point that can be used as an argument against Machiavelli’s philosophy. It was well-written, but I’m not sure a prince should trust the advice of a guy his family threw in prison. The Prince might be chock full of intentionally written bad advice for all we know. …such as always take a side to form allies, rather than Sun Tsu’s approach of allowing them to exhaust themselves without interfering.
