It’s not hiding when it’s supposed to be a secret. A woman voting her own beliefs should be the first step out of that kind of controlling relationship.

Vote anyway if anyone hasn’t yet. Because no matter if it’s close, a few points, or a sweep Trump is already planning on calling it rigged (he already has) and rallying his supporters to do who knows what. It’s going to be a long few months, maybe more.

Also, don’t forget that voting just gets a preferred candidate into office, you still have to remind and pressure them on topics you feel important, regularly. I think this is really where America fails as a representative democracy, most people don’t follow up on what they were all hyped up about during an election.

There’s always been a polarity even at the start. Smaller one issue groups would end up merging with one of the major ones. It has gotten far worse though, ironically in the age of information where people should be able to discuss and learn about topics better. I think we broke something.

Wow, Greta uses her recognition to point out the whole thing is a mess and there’s no great choices, and more importantly it’s up to people to not quit after their vote and actively and continuously push for change…

And already there’s posters making fun of her. Maybe they just read the headline and not the full text…as per internet tradition.

Handwaving tech and physics is easy. I’m not touching linguistics, other than to say I don’t think you can explain it away. Languages are hard, even if by some magic all species everywhere have some common base, which I doubt.

I watched that video, and had he just stuck to being suddenly awake and having claw marks I would have thought there was something odd. But he led with having four dogs in the bed, so when he said he had claw marks…dear lord, he’s either trying too hard to play to some niche audience, or he’s really that stupid. At least make the story sound plausible…we know you can lie, why didn’t you just leave off some details here to sell it better.

It’s absolutely anti-choice. The party of small government (except when it comes to controlling people).

You do that by voting. Dumbass. At least he didn’t attack volunteers inside like what’s happened in other places. I can’t understand people sometimes.

Ignorance isn’t an excuse, and that excuse might be more believable if it was off on a road corner at a light or something. A sign in the ground at a voting area…could be litter? Really? Definitely a dumbass.

I agree that’s a flyer like this could be worded a lot different to spread awareness without sounding threatening. They also send out mailers that tell candidates’ positions on topics that has been questionably factually in the past. Conversely I had received before the voting period a mailer listing all the judges of the county and their own statements, basically a consolidation of information, that was very helpful. It’s about knowing how far to go, and of course being truly non-partisan.

Or those women voted as they were told to vote, but after seeing how that played out have realized the voting ballot is secret for a reason.

Well, some of us were already into the PC master race direction and didn’t fall for the consoles. :D

Praise for the poll worker doing their job. The system works, at least in this type of example. Something to cite when a Republican claims people are voting twice. “You guys had someone test that, it’s false.”

He’s accidentally correct. A warmer atmosphere holds more water and can do more damage. He just has no clue he was this close to understanding the growing danger of climate change.

Flip flopping is worse than just accepting a bad mistake. You were out for PR, not to actually endorse anyone, and got burned.

This is true of other beliefs as well. The failure of Reconstruction is a parallel of not addressing the real problems and just patching things and calling them fixed, only for them to fester for decades erupting in sores and infection constantly.
