It’s absolutely a stupid place to put it. You either have to jump it to open the hatch, or go over the back seats while taking out the floor panels to get to it. My own car, the battery is under the hood, but there’s 2 plastic pieces that need to come off via push clips, and if you’re stranded and don’t have something to push in the clips and pull them out, you’re going to have to rip the piece off to get to the battery and break the clips or the plastic piece. It’s fairly simple, but that plastic serves almost no purpose.
