ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto memes@lemmy.world•Low maintenance friendships are the best ships 🛳️English82·25 days agoThis is neither light hearted nor accepted by everyone, hence the existence of this conversation. If it’s satire it’s not obvious at all.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto memes@lemmy.world•Low maintenance friendships are the best ships 🛳️English124·25 days agoA sexist meme. What’s your point? Is sexism okay as long as it uses these meme faces and is posted in a meme subs?

ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto News@lemmy.world•US FDA suspends food safety quality checks after staff cutsEnglish35·26 days ago… what are we supposed to fucking do? I can stop eating meat but it’s not like I can stop eating altogether. Am I just going to get food poisoning a few times over the course of this nightmare administration? Do I have to wait 4 fucking years to enjoy eating without worrying about getting sick?
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto News@lemmy.world•Fears over extremism in US military as soldier revealed as neo-Nazi TikTok followerEnglish52·30 days agoNo, we would only have different candidates in federal elections if left leaning people actually voted. They don’t.
They only made the commitment to appease the political climate and earn points with the public. It’s important to keep us distracted from all the corporate bullshit. They’re just doing it again now that there’s a new climate.
It’s a little silly to say “every” game when two out of three examples in a category are from the same game.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto News@lemmy.world•Fears over extremism in US military as soldier revealed as neo-Nazi TikTok followerEnglish142·1 month agoI’m guessing that the military as a whole has the same political leanings as the general population, with the majority being left leaning centrists and they will stand by the oath they took never to attack the American people.
Fingers fucking crossed.
There are so many people who don’t seem to understand what “middle aged” means. It means halfway to your life expectancy. So maybe 40, considering the average man in this country dies in their 70s. Jack Black is past middle age at 55.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto politics @lemmy.world•Journalist publishes every damning text from war plans leakEnglish21·2 months agoYou have a point. I’ve been wondering just how senate Democrats could possibly approve all these wildly incompetent boobs to these powerful positions. Maybe they want the worst people possible in these positions so that this administration implodes on itself.
But that could be giving them too much credit. It would mean they weren’t entirely spineless…

Driver level upscaling this good is a game changer, I might not even have to deal with optiscaler.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Tens of thousands took to the streets in France against racism and the rise of the far rightEnglish4·2 months agoFair enough. I didn’t mean to imply that we’re as good as the French at protesting. I don’t think anyone is. They are the world champion protestors. I wonder what platform they use to organize.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Tens of thousands took to the streets in France against racism and the rise of the far rightEnglish6·2 months agoYes, I covered that in my comment.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Tens of thousands took to the streets in France against racism and the rise of the far rightEnglish2·2 months agoAre you saying that if the people organizing the event aren’t members of Congress, that they will be targeted and vanish? That’s a scary thought. Perhaps the leaders should be kept anonymous.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto World News@lemmy.world•Tens of thousands took to the streets in France against racism and the rise of the far rightEnglish251·2 months agoI would argue that we are. 21,000 in Paris is very similar to 34,000 in Denver. The thing us Americans need to get better at is organizing ourselves. We shouldn’t require leaders like Bernie Sanders and AOC to get us to show up. The regular people of France are amazing at protesting on their own, and we desperately need that kind of energy.
ObtuseDoorFrame@lemm.eeto News@lemmy.world•Over 30,000 turn out for Bernie Sanders, AOC rally in Denver amid push for progressive changeEnglish25·2 months agoThis is one of those comments where I didn’t realize how badly I needed to read it until I did. This kind of support from the countries our dictator is actively alienating is extremely beneficial for morale. Thanks!
Sounds like a good law. The comments on the article are absolutely unhinged.
