How else do you end up with people like Clarence Thomas on the supreme court? Can’t be 0. They wanna be him.

Imagine submitting your name to be in a lottery, that isn’t a lottery and actually results in a background check on you to see if you’re who they’re looking for.
Insane.
Wonder if there was an employment contract to get the million.
Pretty sure it’s against the law to advertise something as a lottery/random and then it’s not.
Definitely scam
Correct, they draw crazy maps that try to put as many minorities as possible in as few districts as possible so their votes while concentrated and maybe get a seat or two, prevent getting many more seats that their votes and locations would warrant.
Ah thanks, I knew about this part “tne candidate was plotting treason, or has a heart attack.” but didn’t know the back story on that.
THAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE SENATE
I really do get that, you don’t have to try and explain it again, but it doesn’t mean it’s serving the country any further, just like the electoral college isn’t severing the country or first past the post isn’t.
Things change, and it turns out that this system is allowing for the tyranny of minority which is ironically is the opposite of the intended effect of it preventing tyranny of the majority.
I’m not offering a solution, I’m just saying its a problem just like the others. Everything can be reformed if there a problems.
But yes as I said, fixing the house would be a start.
Bonus points if there’s a pet in the picture and you say they ate it that night.
we are not commuting by horseback any longer.
Is there some reference specifically to the electoral college and horses, or was this just about the passage of time?
Half of me thinks there was something very specific about horses and the college after you wrote that lol.
Its intended, but it’s still a problem. It gives disproportionate power to smaller states and it gets worse as certain areas grow and other don’t.
Wyoming with a population of 581k in 2022 wields as much power in the senate as California with 39 million.
And if you control either the house or senate, you can pretty much stall almost anything.
Even if we got rid of it, the senate is still non representative with small states wielding more power, and the house isn’t proportional because the seats are capped.
So much is fucked.
Wow dude, you need to chill out.
I’m just going to keep posting this to every future reply you make.
Note my edit to your “akin to” comment.
Respectfully, I don’t know where you are pulling that equivalence from? I don’t believe I said 1 in 5 would likely die from losing a pregnancy?
Ummm dude
Texas killing this child for losing a pregnancy is (very similar to) them having you roll a 5 sided dice and shooting anyone who lands on a “4” between the eyes.
You totally did, and this is what triggered my response.
I love how post something very wrong, challenge it twice and ask if i even know what some words mean, which you clearly didnt, and then wave off how wrong you are and tell me to shut up.
I even said the sentiment is there.
What a jerk, you must be fun at parties

Akin to
very similar to something

Your equating the 1 in 5 miscarriages to having a 1 in 5 chance of death but 1 in 5 miscarriages do not have a chance of death very similar to being shot if you roll a 4 on a 5 sided dice which is a 1 in 5 chance of death.
Edit: Just cleaning this up as what I wrote got confusing…
Your saying that 1 in 5 pregencies have a miscarriage (20%) and equate a miscarriage that happens 1/5 times, to being shot 1/5 times which would be death. But an (edit untreated) miscarriage doesn’t mean death. So it is not very similar to having a 1/5 chance of death by being shot.
Maybe you don’t know what you wrote?

The sentiment is there, but 1 in 5 ending in miscarriage is not 1 in 5 that would be deadly if a miscarriage happened.
Also, that number is known miscarriages (and is the high end i believe of the range). Even more happen before the mother even knows they are pregnant.
Part of the reason you don’t tell people before the first trimester is over is because miscarriages before are common.
Because the leopard at her face.
Oops i spoiled the ballot. Too late to get another one, guess I’ll vote in person.
Don’t even visit while pregnant.
Things can happen suddenly and you might not be able to get out to save your life.
