Melt your bank card in acetone. Carefully remove the chip and copper antenna. Place in small mould, fill with resin. Bobby Fingers (YouTuber) did this for a one-eyed friend so he could pay with his eyeball… Consider an rfid blocking case.
Yes - but it is meant to be deliberately backwards as a check and a balance. The idea is that if every law was made and passed by the currently elected politicians only then there’d be a flood of kneejerk reactionary populist laws only. The idea is to have some people with an eye to the bigger picture…
I normally get about four years or so out of an iPhone, with heavy and extensive daily use - works out as less than 50 (US) cents a day. I used to pay more for a newspaper.
I only made the switch when BlackBerry OS10 “failed” and they quit making handsets. I still miss my Z30 though…
I meant the censoring of “whore”…
The wildest bit of unnecessary censoring I’ve ever seen…
Yes.
From my own personal view I find it very difficult to disagree with every part of your second sentence.

I browse… Twitter, 9gag, 4chan, BlueSky, Lemmy and Mastodon. I find a mixed bag of cunts and diamonds on all of them - and loads of people in between.
The world is not as black and white as you see it.
Perhaps you might try sorting the wheat from the chaff next time before you make definitive sweeping statements about various platforms.
Jesus Fucking Christ man… is this really how you see the world?
My almost five year old piece of under powered apple trash cost me less than 45 US cents a day, still has regular OS updates and works between eight to ten hours most days running my entire life. I might even splurge out and buy a new one if they ever release an overpowered non trash handset…
Thanks for the update. I’ve put an edit in my post so I’ll stop spreading misinformation.
The only time a brand should really matter is for critical use. Unbranded defibrillator? No thanks. Going mountaineering? Don’t buy from temu. Motorbike helmet? Not from Shein.
Funnily enough I wondered about the whole “Jews have big noses” thing myself whilst reading and replying.
Interesting. I’m happy with that.
You also make the good point that tropes, stereotypes, generalisations etc often say more about the people who use them then the people they’re aimed at.
I’ve got no idea why German and English seem to have flipped the trope. I hope someone else can provide an answer here.
I knew about the whiteness, obesity (and body odour?) but the long noses is new to me. Kind of makes sense, there they are, sticking out of your face for everyone to see.
Sadly I can believe that.
Fascinating. The trope in the English speaking world seems to be:
The UK definition isn’t that wild - the ‘ra used to plant bombs and then phone it in. There’s still terror seeing a building explode - knowing the only reason there aren’t casualties is because the bombers, this time, called it in with 15 minutes on the fuse.
