You would think. But no. The line drawn by conservatives is to have no regulation at all.

On the other hand some of those “quick fixes” are actually modernizing our gun laws to be like other countries that allow gun ownership. We should put all the work in but calling Universal Background Check and Red Flag quick fixes is like calling a highway lane expansion a quick fix. Yes we need a bus system, but the 2 lane road built in the 1950’s isn’t cutting it anymore either way.
Eh, that’s not totally true. There’s no formal contract, a politician can absolutely take the money but not give them anything. That’s how they keep it from being bribery. But also, when you’re talking about the really influential groups, it’s seen as better to just take their money and keep quiet until you have to publicly do something.
So there is absolutely a chance. It’s not a guarantee, but it’s not nothing either.
France is a bit more analogous. The left had the most votes and Macron just appointed the conservatives to be Prime Minister.
Lmao. Impressive how you try to stay in message in the face of reality.
Lol they’re not backing off. Half of their identity is trying to shove religion into politics. They know that works better with Trump even if he flips on Abortion. Just like they supported Romney, McCain, and Bush.
I’m not sure she’s owned by them. But pissing them off in an incredibly close election is not wise. Unfortunately their money dump on tight progressive primaries had exactly the effect they wanted. “Talk about Israel during the campaign and we dump tens of millions in strategic states and demographics.”
So we’re not likely to see her true position on that until November 5th.
If you’re referring to ACAB, many police departments are trained by Israel.
Wow you went from victim blaming to, if Israel did it it wasn’t really their fault, to Israel is the victim of this unarmed civilian all in one post.
Great job.
There are places where training your kids in an age appropriate manner is the right thing to do. But of course it’s the parent’s responsibility to do that correctly, supervise use, and remove any firearms if there are problems.
A. Iran, not Iraq.
B. The people are not the state there. That’s part of why the distinction is made.
C. Be better.
There’s enough handcuffs to go around. The US isn’t in short supply there.
It’s the difference between Iran and Al Qaeda. Nobody is saying they’re great people. But you treat those two differently.
Yeah I was thinking about LA and SD compared to the area directly east of them. Which it strikes me now that both areas are SoCal.
They didn’t but the parents still have a duty.
Then there’s words for that. State Sponsored Terrorism or Act of War.
We don’t want to use those words though because that would mean Israel has been committing acts of war against Gaza for decades, regardless of where they were in the peace process. Instead we pretend Hamas aren’t a government and therefore things like the blockade aren’t Acts of War, they’re just internal military operations.
According to CNN the Christmas gift timeline is significant because this was after police had talked to the parents about the kid making online threats to do a school shooting.
They knew and they gave him a gun anyway.
America really needs to stop calling actual governments terrorists.
We need to know which states. Can they swing a state for the Democrats, is all the democrats care about right now.
If she does announce something like this it will be in late October when AIPAC can’t make a difference anymore.
Pretty sure the issue is a college graduate with degrees working anywhere in retail or restaurants as the best thing they could hope for.
