Remember when people thought she was cool…
Thanks!
So after reading a bit does this mean that houses will just be for the retired people in a few years?
“Access Denied”
anyone have a TLDR? I guess I pissed off cnbc somehow.
That is great but you can’t move the shares to another dead person (in the show both he and his parents are assumed dead for years) so we are meant to think that they where held in trust, for who? Also while yes the board can force out a chair, but in the case of owning a controlling majority of the business (as stated) this would be pointless and silly, like in my Musk example the entire board would be sent packing. The writing was so poor that it strained my confidence in my own knowledge of basic corporate structure.
He was the Chair, the board “voted” him and 2 others out (somehow). The show states he got the controlling majority of voting shares from his father (also makes little sense since he was assumed dead but that is another gripe). He did not sell any shares as he is later returned to his position, this was just bad writing so they could have him be “poor” for a bit. This was a plot point about how it was his company but then written so poorly they seemed to forget how they set up the fictional company (ie. a private company where the majority of class A shares is held by one person). This would be like if elon musk (Kirkland brand Dr. evil) was booted from space X, everyone would be super confused as to how.
So yeah, this was the end of comic book movies for me, it killed it. They wrote something so bad that the only thing that sticks with me to this day is the hot mess of corporate structure.
The Iron fist show had me livid when the MC gets “voted” out by the board of the company the MC OWNS A MAJORITY OF!!
I 'member.
Twas Dickity 14 or so, and I plan to make good on Microsofts words.
I am not sure you understand how a mortgage works. Why would I have $375,000 on a mortgage for a house I bought for $185,000 over a decade ago?
The bank “owns” only what is owning on the mortgage with the property and buildings on it as collateral. Even if I stopped paying all together (for some reason) the bank does not want the house, they want the money and will force a sale though foreclosure.
The issue is that we now have two “classes” of non rich people, those that spend money on rent (a cost without equity) and those like me ether old enough or lucky enough to have a mortgage where the money we spend on a mortgage (reducing that debit) is not wasted and the value of our homes keeps going up.
My house is now worth a bit over $350,000. And although that is less then $1,000,000 I bought it at $185,000 (and had to use every penny saved to get a down payment) just a decade ago. Even in my small rural town I currently could not afford to buy the house I live in, I doubt this will improve in time.
I might not be a millionaire, but I would guess I am now in a smaller class of people that owns where they sleep. And if the market keeps doing whats its doing I might be a millionaire in time (this is not overall a good thing).
Might want to wait even on that idea until we know they don’t destroy themselves. (kinda have to do that with all intel now, sad)
Yes that would make me feel better, and powerful.
I don’t think there is any meaningful payment, but then again after reading this I would not put it past them to make some sort of pay for kids program in the future. It feels a bit dirty and I would guess quickly become abused. Great, now I have the nasty image of people farming for cash becoming a thing. Wonderful.
Well if you look at the (granted simple) definition of fascism other then being a far right party China kinda nails it Fascist governments are usually totalitarian and authoritarian one-party states.[4][5][6] Under fascism, the economy and other parts of society are heavily and closely controlled by the government, usually by using a form of authoritarian corporatism, where companies and workers are supposed to work together under national unity. The government uses violence and police power to arrest, kill or stop anyone it does not think useful.[3][7]
And that then leads us to the weird concept of emulated fascism, or far left fascism. How much does it matter to someone living under a authoritarian regime what we call it anyway?
Hmmm, now I need to do some research to see if that is a common trait of dictatorships.
Its really weird that those mothers get to live though both ends of these interesting times.
I doubt people have much faith left in the party but if they did this I would think snuff that out. Just think of the parents that where forced to abort a child now being told children quota was down.
I mean HAR HAR and all but they are knocking on doors to find women that are not knocked up to pressure them in getting knocked up, then being extra weird by following up later in order to take pictures of those children.
Its like China can only steer by going full tilt one way or the other.
So great that there will not be a need for another. (this time for sure)
Eh I am used to it. Even when I ask for an example of a end user getting compromised from using out of date software (like a news story, court case, etc.) and they come up empty I am still somehow the “insane” one. You are better to learn to back up things, not get caught in phishing attacks (the most common risk) and watch your accounts then even worrying about security updates.
Worked 15 years in the industry but, hey what do I know… Not like your bank is still using server 2008 and windows 7 or anything…
That seems to be what is being done here. Everything that I have seen on this has done what you asked, said what they where critiquing then giving a clip from the game as an example. If people can not be critical of media for any reason, we have an issue.
