I got it for travel and it really is a top notch portable gaming hub. Doubly so because emulation is really easy to set up and run through the frontend. I love being able to play Elden Ring on the go.
Oh god, please don’t make me talk about myself.

Started playing #BLUD, I’m only about ten minutes in because sleep got the better of me last night but it looks pretty good so far.
Seepage is one of those bands that just sticks in your brain. If you like the tongue-in-cheek of Zane’s angsty edgelord teen vibes, the developers also made a doomlike in the same universe, developed by and starting that character.
Well yeah, but have you thought about how doing something might impact profits this quarter? Unacceptable!
It’s funny, boots theory has been largely retired since the rich can no longer get the kind of quality that lasts decades. They could certainly afford it, it’s just not available for purchase - capitalism killed it off.
Like I think that’s the thing that pisses me off the most about this - Sony clearly didn’t give two shits about this game on launch with servers underprepared and overwhelmed for weeks after, but as soon as they smelled money they were more than ready to shit where Arrowhead eats with this godawful requirement.
Tired of people asking about the out-of-season April fool’s jokes.
The “Just work a little harder and you can have a comfortable life” to “Just work a little harder and you can live long enough to work a little harder tomorrow” pipeline in full effect.
I feel like the bush era politics are a footnote to the evil Reagan inflicted on the states. Man killed the unions, and it was all downhill from there.
No!? You’re telling me the people with private jets and yachts and literal acres of landscaped lawn are worse for the environment than the guy who’s eating top ramen for lunch and naps for dinner? Shocker!
Wow, I’m shocked anyone else has even heard of that game. I wish we could get a remaster for modern machines, it was strikingly beautiful in places.
More massive than we’re already experiencing because practically every major corporation decided to jack up prices based on the fact that bigger numbers exist?
Less “poised to slam the brakes” and more “we don’t have any fucking money to make the economy go brrrr so it’s going to fucking crash.”
Damn, gonna have to throw out my “Hard work never killed anyone but why take a chance” shirts.
Any regrets I have evaporate every time I visit friends who have a kid. Something else is broken or ruined, the kid is constantly vying for attention in increasingly loud and destructive ways, and there’s always at least one shouting match before the night’s out.
That’s not even to say that I don’t like kids. I just like money, quiet, and a clean house more. Nor do I want to disparage my friends’ parenting skills, god knows it can’t be easy with both parents working FT+. But their non-working lives revolve around their kids now, and I don’t want that for myself. And on top of all that, I can’t imagine making someone else go through this shit as everything seems to be deep in the process of going straight to hell.
Shit’s bad and only getting worse. Quelle fuckin’ surprise.
You know, every time I see the phrase “No drop of rain feels responsible for the flood” I get upset. You know why? It’s not the raindrops that cause the flood. It’s the clouds. The environment that fosters the rain.
Like, does anyone actually want to get up at 6 AM every morning and run out the door to drive an hour one-way in a machine that kills children quickly and the environment slowly, just to give up half of their waking life to a soulless entity that turns spirit and creativity into stolen labor value and burnout, all for the pleasure of continuing to do that every day for the next several decades until the stress inevitably kills you? I don’t know one fucking person who wants to be doing this shit, but as the rain is forced out of the cloud by the dropping pressure, so are we coerced into this life by the threat of starvation and exposure to the elements. Would that I could break the chain, but I am as helpless against it as the raindrop is against the pull of gravity. It’s so easy to toss pithy quotes at people while sipping from a bamboo straw, but it doesn’t stop Starbucks from selling a billion lattes a minute to people who are too tired and rushed to give two shits about the planet we’re killing in order to create that convenience we rely on so we can be forced to dedicate every last spare second of our time to the altar of capitalism. How the fuck do you fight that in any meaningful way?
“Up and atom!”
Nintendo’s infamously protective of its IP, even to its obvious detriment. I know a lot of people who jumped on the nomoretendo bandwagon after AM2R got DMCA’d, because the smart and morally correct thing to do would have been to hire that person and pull his incredible talent into the next Metroid game, because they clearly had a lot of love and respect for the subject matter and the technical expertise to put it into action. It’s hard to overstate just how fucking good and polished that project was, virtually identical to the Fusion/Zero Mission engine, except in the ways it was more improved. It was certainly better than anything Nintendo had done with Metroid in quite a while.
