These guys have been thrown into the middle of a conflict of similar looking people wearing similar camo and using similar weapons while speaking almost indistinguishable languages. This is probably not the only time this will happen.

Regulations on fossil fuels have become very strict in Europe and any manufacturer wanting to sell there is going to maximize aerodynamics. Not to mention the increased range for electric cars. Most people still view cars as utilities, they care more about how far it can go on one charge instead of cool angular designs.
Modern cars are designed in wind tunnels. We’ll never get the cool designs back.
Or maybe even Královec.
The problem is not that the deer was hit, a human driver may have done so as well. The actual issue is that the car didn’t do anything to avoid hitting it. It didn’t even register that the deer was there and, what’s even worse, that there was an accident. It just continued on as if nothing happened.
The poster, who pays Tesla CEO Elon Musk for a subscription to the increasingly far-right social media site, claimed that the FSD software “works awesome” and that a deer in the road is an “edge case.” One might argue that edge cases are actually very important parts of any claimed autonomy suite, given how drivers check out when they feel the car is doing the work, but this owner remains “insanely grateful” to Tesla regardless.
How are these people always such pathetic suckers.

The latest info on the 18 North Korean deserters is that they were stationed in a forest without any command or supplies for 4 days and left their post because the alternative was starvation. They were picked up by the Russians soon after.
I’ve got loads of respect for anyone willing to sift through 9 years of Trump speeches without turning insane.
The Ukrainians that I’ve talked to have a very different opinion on this.
Of course, The Guardian - the famous tabloid without any actual news lol
Honestly, Moldova is too divided in this regard. Not to mention the Transnistria issue. If they were to join the EU in their current state, there’s a chance we’d just end up with another Hungary/Slovakia situation. They need much more time IMO.
It just says “mod” for me.
I’ve used Lemmy for a while and just recently felt like I was missing a feature for the first time: I’d love if there was some kind of mod mail functionality. One of my posts was removed by a moderator and I wanted to ask why, but I obviously didn’t know which mod did it, so I just randomly messaged someone from the list. There should be a more “elegant” way to do this, like some kind of functionality that allows a user to send a message directly to the community or the moderation team itself.
In Central Europe it would be a white Sprinter, a Skoda RS and a 3-Series BMW.
One of the nice things about Lemmy is that you actually get replies under your posts/comments and it’s not just repeating phrases to earn as much karma as possible. There’s always a sweet spot of engagement in online communities and I feel like we’re pretty close to where it begins. Other sites just make you feel like you’re shouting into the void.
The press release has since been updated and a correction issued:

The assembly leader of the Palestine protest camp informed the Dortmund police today that Ms. Greta Thunberg wanted to visit the assembly in Emil-Figge-Straße. Following an examination by Dortmund Police Headquarters, the latter issued an order banning the camp.
The Dortmund police carried out a risk assessment for the assembly. The announced visit by Ms. Thunberg led to the conclusion that there would be more people at the venue than stated in the assembly registration. The time frame specified in the assembly confirmation would also have been exceeded. The recent events in connection with Thunberg were taken into account in the assessment. After intensive examination as part of a risk assessment, the Dortmund police headquarters ordered the ban and the associated dissolution of the assembly.
The assembly leader announced on site that the assembly had ended and arranged for the camp to be dismantled.
That’s not the place that Navalny’s team published the photos of. This one was more like a dacha. His Palace is even closer to Ukraine, but way too expensive to be demolished like that. He has been there only a few times since it was built.
Probably to prevent the bad optics of Ukraine blowing it up with their new long range drones. His residence was about 600km away from the frontline, well within reach.
Here’s your answer, at least in theory:
