Shhh. Let Linus Finnish.
A buddhist vegan goth with questionable humour.
Shhh. Let Linus Finnish.
Not 20 years later, but at all. At least that I’d their claim and I haven’t seen it debunked do far.
I’ll reluctantly link a right wing article that at least tries to come across not overly sensational:
The Free Beacon also obtained a copy of Harris’s October 1987 job application for a law clerk position in the Alameda County district attorney’s office. On that form, Harris, who was in law school at the time, listed several jobs—including a month-long clerical job at a stock brokerage—in a section that asked her to list every position she held in the last 10 years. McDonald’s is absent.
Harris lists three jobs on the application and five in total on an attached résumé, according to the documents, obtained through a public records request. Harris, who submitted the application as a second-year student at then-University of California, Hastings College of the Law, included granular life experience on her résumé—“extensive travel in India, Africa, [and] Europe” and “lived in Montreal, Canada for six years”—but not McDonald’s.
They’ve got photos of the resume and all.
Bulldozed over them. Alive and dead. Couldn’t take the gore no longer.
I have empathy for him, honesty. He belived the propaganda about defending the country an all that. Then was ordered to to horrible things. He experienced the difference between a lie told and a lie lived and just couldn’t deal with it.
He not the bad guy here.
The right is losing it because Harris said she worked at a McD bad has shown no prove of it.
Possible she never has and it’s a lie to appeal to the working class voters. Or not. I honestly dgaf.
This right is behaving as if Trump never told a single lie in his long life. It’s Harris making a claim without backing it up has been THE THING all week now on most right wing forums I peek at.
Dude killed himself (the one the article is about).
Yeah, but try saying something slightly to nuanced about the Israel - Palestine situation almost anywhere here and you get nuked.
Masnick gives 20 levels of development. Elon stopped here:
Level Two: “We’re the free speech platform! But no CSAM!”
And that’s about it. Ex-Twitter has copyright infringement, hate speech and doesn’t give a fuck about local laws unless the law actually has teeth (Brasil, anybody?).
I could tell you the facts, like how stopping eating meat is one of the easiest ways to make a huge change. I could give you some studies, show you how almost every report on climate change in the last 15 years has listet going more plant based is part of their recommendations. But you know what? I’m just fucking over with people that aren’t grown up enoth to even do the slightest little change in their lives.
We deserve the future that awaits us.
Your plan is to require every individual on the planet to make sacrifices that could kill them and their loved ones? You think that’s actually achievable?
No. I complete not registered the second half of your sentence while quoting it. No fucking idea how that happend. Complete brain fart on my end.
So what’s a realistic approach to the problem:
Getting billions of individuals to change across the planet? Which requires most of them and their families to die?
AND
Changing a few dozen companies.
Changes like this don’t happen in an empty space. If you have an Eco aware consumer base it help a lot.
Having a consumer base that is aware of and cares about the environment is going to help a lot on that regard.
Good start. Then go vegetarian of even vegan and you should be good ;-)
Seven years on, the utility has not delivered on its clean-energy sales pitch. NW Natural has more retail gas customers than ever. It supplies them little, if any, renewable natural gas. It sells them as much fossil natural gas in an average year as it did before. And it wages steady battles in the courts and in local city halls to keep the gas flowing.
Do you believe that climate change is largely driven by human activity, including the burning of fossil fuels? If not, is there a different cause you would cite?
Didn’t say yes.
Here I agree, the question isn’t answered.
But:
Do you believe climate change is making disasters such as hurricanes, wildfires and heat waves more intense?
Almost said yes.
"The science is clear. Extreme weather will only get worse, and the climate crisis will only accelerate.’’
How is that not a yes?
Should climate change be addressed through government action or market forces?
Practically a yes. I award a half credit
“Under Harris’s climate plan as a 2019 presidential candidate, she advocated for a blend of government action and market forces to combat global warming.”
It’s not a yes because this is not a yes or no question. It gives a very clear answer though. How is this half credit?
Do you support clean-energy tax credits such as those for electric vehicles?
Again half credit. Not an actual yes.
“In 2022, Harris cast the tie-breaking vote to pass the Inflation Reduction Act, which provides hundreds of billions of dollars in government subsidies for electric cars and other clean-energy technology, including tax credits for clean-energy and energy-efficiency home projects.”
That answers the question, again.
So, in 3 out of 4 questions the answers are very clear. And giving a “long” answer to a complex question is, in my opinion, appropriate.
What’s cake day?
sending random stuff to developing countries is one of the problems.
Relevant Video.
I have to admit thag I just never had problems, so I just use what ever I can get. I use vegan soaps, if that helps, but I can’t compare them to non vegan ones.
I don’t know where you are located, but here we have dedicated body and shampoo soap bars. They are quite a bit nicer to akin than using normal soap. That’s all the advice I have to offer unfortunately :)
I have been using solid bodysoap and shampoo now for some years and it has likley saved a solid amount of plastic waste and is super easy.
“Going forward, to build a breakthrough Twitter 2.0 and succeed in an increasingly competitive world, we will need to be extremely hardcore,” Musk wrote in the all-staff email. “This will mean working long hours at high intensity. Only exceptional performance will constitute a passing grade.”
This is so fucking cringy.
Sort of, ay.
