I’d understand if it was about the controllers since the games were made to work specifically with them, but choosing to pay several hundred dollars instead of juste using something that cost less than a 100 and got far better UI and features is something i’ll Never understand. Tho, It would make sense if you had that console as a child and getting the real one make you feel nostalgic.
Stop bragging 😤
If your girl look at you like this, you fucked up really bad and no amount of apology is gonna fix it. RIP.
Here’s the prompt. ( It’s a quick draft from a none native English speaker. Please don’t laugh 😭) : I am writing an evil origin story for ursula from spiderman 2. Improve: My love for you didn’t falter. I always loved you peter parker, and I will always will. You made me into what I am today, a monster of pure jealousy and rage. When the aliens gave me powers beyond belief. I know i had to kill everyone you love, so I could harness their emotions and feel that love that should have been mine.
Wrote a draft that I didn’t like and was gonna delete it when I got the idea to have ChatGPT improve it. This was the result.
My love for you never wavered, Peter Parker. I’ve always loved you, and I always will. But your indifference turned me into something else, something darker. Jealousy and rage consumed me, transforming me into a monster. When the aliens bestowed powers beyond imagination upon me, I knew my purpose: to destroy everyone you care about, so that your world collapses around you. Only then will you see me, feel my pain, and realize that all your love should have been mine.

An epic fantasy about init systems? You can’t get nerdier that this. More!
Also, really nice art! I never cared about init systems in my life but I am now pro-systemd. You shouldn’t have made the villain so badass looking.
They’ve shown the COSMIC terminal working on their last showcase video
I am pretty sure I saw an earily similar thumbnail sometimes ago: The face with two emtions cut in half with random text on each side referring to stuff about the character according to said emotions, the freaking template title. All the channel was basically this over and over.
RedoxOS would likely never become feature complete enough to be a stable, useful and daily-drivable OS. It’s currently a hobbyist OS that is mainly used as a testbed for OS programming in Rust.
If the RedoxOs devs could port the Cosmic DE, they’d become one of the best Toy OS and maybe become used on some serious projects . This could give them enough funds to become a viable OS used by megacorps on infrastructures where security is critical and it may lead it to develop into a truly daily drivable OS.
It could be. But then again, he did have the help of a Rust designer/core dev. I believe they even wrote the first iteration of the “Jakt” compiler in Rust before rewriting it in Jakt itself, so Andreas isn’t against using Rust.
I am pretty sure it was about how it was difficult for them to do oop with rust, but I reckon it was long ago and my programming knowledge is minimal.
Found it:

I vaguely remember the talk about needing oop for the web being on discord and not twitter, so the twitter post is likely a reaction that.
You’re doubting someone’s ability to create a web browser knowing that they specialize in browser development since the early 2000s?
If this isn’t enough to have confidence in them then nothing will.
The dev has 30 years of experience with c++ and a lot of it was on browsers.
He tried to incorporate rust with the help of “JT”, one of the original rust designers/devs and according to Andreas it didn’t work that well due to the web being too objet oriented or something like that. They both worked together (well, mostly “JT”) to create a new safe programming language called “yakt” that transpile to c++, but the project is currently pretty much dead because nobody is really working on it anymore.
If only.
That’s modern journalism for you. A total joke!
