I think the idea of using coarse grounds for the French press is mostly for filtering out the grounds with the steel mesh on the plunger. If you have a finer mesh, by all means, go for it.
I’ve also seen some of my fellow coffee lovers at work use filters wrapped around their press, or using an ultra-fine metal mesh on their air press. They’ll go for a finer grind, and it definitely helps the brew steep quicker.
Personally, if I’m using a glass press, I can usually tell the brew is done by jostling the pot and seeing if the grounds sink. In my metal one, it’s usually 5+ mins, and then it’ll jostle and test the resistance with the plunger to see if the grounds sank.
It’s also very easy to run an AI image generation tool locally using open source models.
Yet another thing I love about Helldivers 2. The sound track is fantastic.

The issue with those items is that they are not in the list of approved materials for Boeing’s manuals. It might be normal to see these sort of practices in a line maintenance environment where it’s hard to get the proper tooling; but the manufacturer should be abiding by it’s own regulated publications. It’s just more symptoms of their cost cutting and schedule rushing measures that are leading to their quality issues.
My company has been spending a lot of time and money doing warranty repairs on brand new airplanes that we received from Boeing over the past couple of years. It’s very concerning when a customer has to fix things that should have never left the factory floor.
Too many AI language models are just word salad. It will spit out very long responses that add nothing of substance. Sometimes it’s kind of like a high schooler desperately trying to reach the paragraph requirement on an essay.
It’s still a much better experience when pirated, since there’s no DRM. Also, it’ll make you feel glad you didn’t pay for it when you learn they wasted the entire budget for C&C4 on a movie set and an “unbreakable” DRM that someone cracked within a few hours after the launch. They also killed the series with a very cheesy “and everyone lived happily ever after” with that one, and I never forgave them for it.
Considering that writer is pumping out multiple articles a day, they most likely are to some extent.
Yes, but I like gaming without having to tweak things for every game. Proton is looking pretty good thanks to the Steam Deck. Hopefully it’ll be a very solid option when it comes time for me to make a decision.
Unfortunately, a lot of my music software and hardware is incompatible with both Linux and W11

If you want to kick it up another notch, add a few drops of sesame oil to it, too.
That just means you can’t use autoland in low visibility conditions. Modern IRUs (inertial reference unit) are highly accurate laser gyros that can use GPS for correction, but will throw out the data if it doesn’t make sense. Navigation won’t be affected much, and autoland (if used) will still rely on VHF guidance.
Even if they do have hearing issues, a phone pressed against your ear will sound much louder with much greater clarity compared to the speaker mode.
Home internet data caps WERE a thing of the past when Obama appointed Tom Wheeler as FCC chairman, who then pushed rulings to classify ISPs as a public utility and started enforcing net neutrality. Companies that didn’t play ball started getting fined until they fell in line. Being a former executive for a major ISP, he was very familiar with the anti-competitive practices and underhanded tricks those companies had been using for years; and he used those practices against them to finally make some pro-consumer progress for internet access in the US.
Then, Trump came in and put Ajit Pai in charge of the FCC (no joke, my phone kept auto correcting his name to Shit Pie). Anyways, Shit Pie tore down those rulings and undid all those years of progress as part of the Trump administration’s anti-Obama initiative. Even though it was proven time and again that what he did was directly against public opinion, and that ISPs were flooding the public commentary with bot posts(some even made by dead people); Shit Pie continued to meme about himself and drink from an obnoxiously large Reese’s coffee mug while doing so. At this point, every provider of internet services has added back data caps in the US, and they have continued to increase their prices to maintain that 99.9% profit margin. They’ve also locked down more areas to prevent municipal broadband services from forming, and they’re even pushing for legislation to prevent them from ever happening.
The current administration has done absolutely nothing. In fact, they’ve been so unremarkable, I have no idea who is in charge of the FCC, and I don’t feel like looking it up.
