It’s the 3rd party ISP just being greedy. The ISP may not even care as long as you’re not running an insane amount of traffic through it. Often this type of stuff is added to TOSs to allow them the option, if you’re being a bad actor.
Yeah, any off the shelf network intrusion software would probably immediately flag either of those based solely on the amount of traffic.

Meh it had some used back then. I used it to keep track of local news and police. Things would often show up hours before other sources. Local schools pushed closing and such, making it more convenient.

Thank you, I had almost forgotten that you can’t make a comment on the Internet without someone misunderstanding even basic assumptions. Like in this case, a picture exclusively showing usb-c, could be assumed that a comment about it, would also be referring to usb-c.
