My best friend often got into screaming arguments with her boyfriend so her cat was suspicious of both of them. But me, he loved as I was always quiet and calm. Eventually he became my cat.

One time, I was sat on the left of my friend’s three seat sofa, she was sat on the right. The cat came out of a door to my left, jumped on the arm of the sofa to my friends right, then stood on her lap. She was very excited but tried to hide it and started stroking him. Then without breaking eye contact he walked over to me and laid in my lap.

He was the same age as the average Lemmy user when he died.

Does anyone else think Americans seem to enjoy making things harder for themselves just so they can talk about the adversity they overcame?

They make healthcare paid for so you need to either be super rich or so popular you can easily fund raise a small fortune because you’ll bankrupt yourself for life just to call an ambulance.

I saw George Thorogood at the OC Fairground in 2019 and the guy who supported him was talking about how he had a kidney transplant and how proud everyone should be that they’re American because if he lived in any other country he would have died. Ridiculous.

Probably a good, cheap way to go if you can find a butcher or fishmonger that’s willing to sell it to you.

But I prefer the convenience of getting it delievered as I do with most stuff.

Economically no. I live in the UK and use Bella and Duke. Not sure if they trade in any other countries. I gave them my cat’s weight and for £43.80 they send me just enough food to feed him for a month.

That’s a bit pricey compared to supermarket cat food but frankly I can afford it and it’s worth it for the health benefits as well as the convenience. Also I can’t think of a company I’ve ever had better customer service from. They called me the day after I received my first box and asked if I had any issues.

From what I’ve read it can help delay the kidney problems that inevitably come with age. Like I say I’ve noticed an improved coat but more importantly he doesn’t vomit anymore which he used to occasionally and he has firmer, less frequent, better smelling turds.

I’ve noticed that after switching my cat to raw food his fur is a lot smoother.
