You make some good points. I don’t know much about scripts or bots or API. But it is weird how quickly many of my posts and comments get downvoted, even in other communities. And in fact, many in those other communities often wonder why I get so many downvotes since it’s unrelated to content or context.
So you may be right. But I don’t care. The downvoters are just mad because I have different views than them.
It won’t stop me from posting or comment. Thanks friend! :)

i bring it up because reddit didn’t used to care about up/down votes either; but now they’re a requirement for many of it subs and i wonder if .world is going to go the same way to prevent messages like this from getting to their users.
Come on man, you said them, you know. This whole act is just reinforcing how insufferable you are. My whole interaction with you was you just being annoying and cringe. Then you’re like “why are people upset with me”, because I only interacted with you once and it was enough to know the kind of person you are.
Let’s be clear—our very first interaction started with you insulting me by calling me an “edgelord,” which is a blatant provocation. As seen in your link: https://lemmy.world/comment/12909326
You initiated the conversation by insulting me, and now you’re falsely accusing me of trolling when I was simply responding to your attack.
You set the tone for that exchange, but you’re acting as if I’m the one in the wrong. It’s weird for you to insult someone and then play the victim when they respond.
Do you think it’s acceptable to personally attack someone in your very first interaction with them, even tho they haven’t attacked you?!
That’s your argument for calling me a troll? You’re saying I’m a troll because I responded to your unprovoked insult to me?! And I still didn’t personally attack you after that. lol
Yeah, because you said something cringe. You then tried to have a convo and as soon as I did back you just trolled.
You set the tone with your horrible comment. If someone says something horrible you can’t expect hugs and kisses buddy. You really can’t help but play the victim can you?
So you insulted me first. Right out of the gate. So no man, I don’t think you can insult someone, then get mad and call them a troll if you are the one that started the argument. Sorry, man, you’re not gonna change my mind on that.
And I’m not gonna change your mind. That’s ok. But I never insulted you or called you names. But you called me a name. Right off the bat.
Help? Oh, you’re right—I need help crafting even more diabolical plots and outrageous stories!
Friend, I really thought you’d be more flattered, considering you introduced me to the term “sealioning.”
I had the Tales for the Cryptic Lemmy community ready for a while but couldn’t decide on the perfect story to kick things off.
Then you, with your tireless dedication to associating me with that term, sparked some real inspiration! I’ve taken your passion and turned it into something… well, either brilliant or a complete disaster, depending on how much some people despise it. I mean, let’s be honest—my brain, my writing. Being this prolific, oy!
Can you even imagine the level of crap I’ll be churning out now? I’ve already posted three stories to that writing community in one day! And there’s plenty more where that came from!
But hey, all in good fun, right? So, thank you! Your relentless efforts—sending that cartoon to me over and over, throwing accusations—finally got through to my tiny, uneducated brain.
I think, and I know you’ll correct me if I’m wrong, but I think we’re kinda getting close to being friends now. Mutual admiration, at least. Right?

Kicks hornet’s nest, feigns conspiracy when stung
Yeah dude is a jerk and troll a ton of the time then he’s like “why are people mad at me?” What a fake victim complex.

I’d love for this instance to do away with up/down votes. But so many here like to use it as weapon, I don’t see that changing.
I mean you attack and troll people with words, how is them doing the same with votes any different? Seems a bit hypocritical.
What words do you have that I was trolling and attacking people?

Friend, thank you for representing the Christ-hating Christian worker’s party. Awooo!
Hey! You inspired me, so thank you!

You need help. These are not the actions of a mentally stable and healthy person.
