Okay it makes sense to me why he had the radiation suit, because he was wearing it at the beginning because the DeLorean ran on Plutonium. The walkman, he had that for his trip to Twin Pines Mall on his skateboard.
It was Doc’s hair dryer. He put his suitcase in the DeLorean right before the Libyans got there. He pulls it out later (earlier?) in 1955 and asks Marty about it.
I didn’t remember that scene being in the movie, I look it up and sure enough it’s a deleted scene. I guess because they shortened the Darth Vader From Planet Vulcan scene to the point he never uses it and it’s just a small detail on a costume that goes by quick they figured they could cut the scene establishing it too.
I never considered that, and further, why did George think it was a weapon when it didn’t look much different from the hair dryers of the time? I guess him being freaked out explains it.

Temporal Correction: Lone Pine Mall
He hadn’t destroyed the other tree 30 years ago yet. Wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey…
You don’t get that nice a coif without a hair dryer.
He’s Marty McFly, not Marty McSlob.
