Square Enix has announced that the first Octopath Traveler is now available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Additionally, Octopath Traveler II is now available on Xbox with Game Pass.
The problem with it for me was that it has all these branching stories, but no cohesive overarching story. It was more like 8 separate stories than 8 chapters of the same story.
I’ll admit I didn’t finish it, maybe it comes together at the end, but I was bored of it and not having fun anymore.
Same, I played around 20 hours and dropped it: the gameplay was fun enough but the lack of interaction between the characters was really disappointing and the stories weren’t really interesting to me to keep playing.
