Tbh, firefox’s hamburger menu is still pretty dumb. To my knowledge it has no shortcut, it is not configurable and can’t be removed from the toolbar.
Right at the top it has with bold text sync, whether you use it or not.
It has this stupid animation when it shifts to submenus.
Another button that can’t be removed is the extensions button.
But well … chromium doesn’t even allow to customize the toolbar in the first place.
How so? It looks pretty standard to me. Agreed that it’d be nice to have a keyboard shortcut for it, but calling it among the worst UI seems excessive.
And being able to customise menus like that is exceptionally rare in software.
True. It probably feels that way because it moved into the toolbar, which was always customizable. If I remember correctly, they always argued that you can use the old menus if you want to use keyboard. But it feels a bit unfinished, the burger menu can’t be removed from the toolbar, has no shortcut and does not have all options the old menus have (offline mode, open file, new container tabs, find again).
And I’m also annoyed by sync since it appeared in that menu. Running your own server for that was always tricky or not possible and it’s not possible to build something similar with addons since they can’t even access bookmark tags.
I think, the idea is that you don’t need a keyboard shortcut for the hamburger menu, because the regular menubar contains everything and is fully keyboard accessible by pressing Alt.
But yeah, that it can’t be removed is there to protect regular users from themselves. If you’re a power user wanting to remove it, then that (and much more) can be done with userChrome.css. See, for example: https://www.userchrome.org
Nobody believes your disingenuous remarks. You literally have a whine about Mozilla in your profile. It’s clear you have some kind of personal vendetta/obsession with them.
Mozilla should be there, right in the middle.
Mozilla’s UI is completely fine?

ALT+V = View - Toolbar - Menu
Back to the 90s.
I think that bookmarking to a specific folder is a bigger pain than it needs to be
“Proton” FF UI sucks badly. It convinced me to move elsewhere.

I don’t need you to believe me. Actually, I couldn’t care less. Have a nice day.
Cool. Bye.
Which software? If you are talking about Firefox. You can customize it easily as you want using Firefox-CSS.
I tagged this user in Boost as “Mozilla hater” because hating Mozilla is their personality
Peak lemmy 👏
You’re losing ground. Only -3700 now :'(
Maybe lemmy is turning facisist?
lol yeah you are the global symbol for anti-fascism and anyone opposed is fascist.
You never know!
Right. That’s how you get more users: by telling them to fix themselves your shitty UI by using CSS. Genius move.
You can use Firefox Theme made by community. Here’s my favorite one.
Much easier voting with my wallet and using a different browser altogether.
I enjoy the irony that you’re this obsessed with hating something you never paid for and then consider it voting with your wallet.
I remember you from: every other thread where you can shoehorn in your weird Mozilla hate
It’s literally in their profile description. Pretty funny how obsessed one can be with something so irrelevant.
Wow it actually is. That is beyond sad lol.
OK Buddy
Ok so what exactly is bad about it?
