If he gets reelected, I imagine we’re going to see another surge of people trying to buy an EV before credits go away. Just like last time.
A short-lived surge like that can’t create an industry which displaces the use of fossil fuels for transportation.
Agreed. I was considering a Model 3 back when Trump and the GOP did this last time, and I remember a bunch of folks scrambling to lock in an eligible purchase while they still could.
Not a great move for long term adoptions, but the credit scarcity definitely had the Telsa store buzzing for a few months back at the end of the last decade.
