I used to run a Mumble server at home on an RPi, the sound was way better than Discord, but I didn’t like how it made my IP appear on shodan, I also didn’t like needing to keep it updated.

I don’t really see the benefit of allowing users to create files with the same name in the same directory, yeah, yeah I know that case sensitivity means that it isn’t same name, but imagine talking to a user, guiding them to open the file /tmp/doc/File and they open /tmp/doc/file instead

As I noted, that only works with a limited set of AI companies.

They need to be in the juristiction of whatever government that decide to enforce the laws, if not, there is very little that can be done.

Then, besides needing to be in the right juristiction, the punnishment needs to be large enough that you can’t just budget it away.

Then any country doing this will know that they are deliberately getting rid of an important sector, while other countries will continue running their sectors.

Which will only be possible with good old fashioned bouble bursting as I said.

The issue with legally pulling the plug is that it won’t stop AI baddies, only good AI companies who respect the law.

The knowledge and tools are still out there.

But when the bouble bursts it will tank AI globally.

Thank you, that is a good way of looking at it, Starfleet sent DS9 the program to keep morale up on the frontlines, yeah that makes sense.

If it was listed incorrectly as a feature that could be turned on or off and it was a bug, then the bugfix would seem to be making it listed correctly as a feature that can be turned on or off.

He allways felt completely out of place, it felt as he was forced onto the series rather than growing naturally.

I am absolutely not calling him a bad character, or anything bad, but his sudden arrival and continued reappearance was jarring to me.

That being said, my complaints about him are all writing related and not his fault

I live alone in Sweden, I take public transport to the office, I managed fine without a car for almost 8 years before I got the car.

I use it mainly to get to interesting places to take photos, stuff like old industry, planespotting, castles, and similar stuff. I also use it for doing errands, shopping, running trash to the recycler, and similar stuff.

90% of my usecase could be done on battery alone, but it is nice to know that I am not limited by the battery itself.
