thanks! our teacher showed us a few pictures at the start of the class for different cutting board styles and we decided which one to do. i chose this since he said it was good for practicing with the table saw. he helped me with providing some initial measurements but i deviated from that plan since I didn’t have enough wood and i really wanted a side grain cutting board rather than a face grain so i had to figure out some new measurements.

Oregon for me. I’m sure other states have something similar though

you have to decide on several thicknesses that get smaller and cut both woods to those widths, then alternate large to small for each in opposite directions and alternate the colors.

it’s basically a statewide organization of woodworkers and it hosts several community woodshops in our state with classes, open shop hours, events, etc.

started taking classes at the local guild. this is my first real piece that isn’t just a dimensioned pine board or something.

They hate the “system”. The system includes our democracy and going out to vote. They don’t believe their votes matter so they don’t vote, things don’t go their way and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

They believe in burning stuff down. Not voting. But even the agitprop kids are a small minority. They’re just really loud and destructive.

Now that I think about it, I certainly was disappointed. He was a hot muscular beast until he turned into a cookie cutter long haired twink. Should have been a clue.

When you’re young you want to rebel against the establishment. They are being told the establishment wants rights for women and gays and men’s rights are being taken away. So they are going the opposite direction to be contrarian. Unfortunately young men at that age have very little empathy for anyone else. They have to know what’s in it for them.

Maybe next time and everytime go out and vote blue so they have even a chance of doing something to stop it.

Ideally you’d catch warning signs before you ever got married to him. My guess is a lot of those who are detained who are married to Trump supporters also support the detention of immigrants and just never thought it would happen to them.
