If there is a heaven, this dude has an all-access pass with a complementary t-shirt.
He’s the closest we’ll ever get to having Mr Rogers as president.
We know that Biden will deliver the eulogy. We don’t know if Trump will be invited.
He shouldn’t be welcomed there.
After comments like these, I wouldn’t blame the family for not inviting either of them:
Trump Confusing Him For Jim…

Former President Donald Trump’s comments at an Iowa rally about former President Jimmy Carter being “a happy man” after bringing up his wife Rosalynn’s memorial service sparked fury on social media.
As is traditional, Jimmy planned his own funeral and how it will be executed. So, it’s is very much up to him who gets invited. Also, it’s tradional for all living Presidents attend. Jimmy is a Christian man, so I wouldn’t be surprised of his grace and forgiveness when it come to Trump.
I also wouldn’t be surprised if trump was one of the few people in the world that could push a religious person like Jimmy Carter to “forget” to include him on the invite list.
Trump can’t really go anywhere unscheduled most weekdays due to criminal court obligations so I assume he won’t put extra effort in to doing so anyway
He’ll complain about not getting to go, ‘even if he were invited’, due to court obligations, anyway. Ever the whiner. So much whining.
The court could clear the schedule for the day, insisting he go because he was invited, and he still won’t so he can complain about it very publicly. He has no desire to go at all beyond what publicity he can drum up by insisting he can’t. That’s just the way his twisted mind works
RIP soon and congrats for a long life well lived.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
He entered hospice care in February 2023 after a series of hospital stays and made a rare public appearance to attend his wife’s memorial service back in November.
But, he added, “The outpouring of love and support that we, as a family, received from people in this room and from the rest of the world was so remarkable and meaningful to us.
Rosalynn Carter made mental health advocacy one of her key areas of focus as Georgia and America’s first lady.
Her efforts resulted in increased research funding, broader treatment access and innovative approaches to mental health care.
Jason Carter said that moments with his grandfather over the past year reminded him of the mental illness aspects related to caregiving, another cause his grandmother championed.
His brokering of the Camp David Accords in 1978 with Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin remains central to his legacy.
